Raise your hand if you’ve heard of Twitter." You're right--why would anyone in the (presumably tech-savvy) audience *not* raise their hand? But perhaps there are some audience-polling questions that actually have value--it's a matter of not fatiguing your poor arms for no reason. “Raise your hand if you have a Facebook account.
