We’re looking for someone willing to come aboard for three months to help us fill some gaps, and then potentially full time after that period assuming both sides are happy with the way things are going. Position: Part-time Design/ Production Associate
Summary:
Due to the firm’s current growth, we are seeking an in-house part-time candidate with 5+ years of demonstrable experience and who has had a background of working on large-scale web initiatives. The job will last approximately 3 months initially with the opportunity for full-time employment depending on performance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional design and production skills, an understanding of user-centered design principles, and the ability to turn business and user requirements into elegant user interfaces.
The ideal candidate should be able to quickly hand-code clean HTML and CSS from Photoshop Comps and Wireframes.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain front-end code (including HTML, CSS, Javascript).
- Design top-level, professional comps from scratch.
- Work on front-end development activities, solutions, methods, and practices.
- Develop reusable code libraries
- Conduct code walkthroughs and quality assurance with development teams.
- Develop web accessibility and browser compatible code.
Requirements:
- Strong HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML programming skills.
- Proficient in Photoshop and Javascript. Working knowledge of Flash.
- Basic understanding of interaction design and user-centered design methods & practices.
- Professional experience collaborating with design and development teams on large-scale projects.
- Ability to prioritize, manage and track multiple tasks across multiple projects, under tight deadlines.
- Professional experience with Wordpress and Drupal.
