The Bivings Group is Hiring a Programmer

Due to continuing growth in client demands, The Bivings Group, a Washington, DC-based web development and Internet services firm, is seeking a talented programmer to join our team.

Responsibilities for this position include software design and development, and ongoing enhancements and bug fixes for several large-scale web applications and client websites. Successful candidates will be able to turn high-level project requirements into effective solutions for implementations into new or existing code. These candidates will also be creative problem-solvers, detail-oriented, quick to learn, self-motivated, and work effectively on deadline-driven projects.

Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates that have proven skills and want to continue to expand their knowledge base.

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience with PHP and mySQL as part of a LAMP platform
  • Experience with AJAX and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of HTML/XHTML/CSS
  • Unix command line experience

Bonus skill sets:

  • Experience with other programming languages (including Ruby or ASP)
  • Experience with open source CMS or blogging systems (including Drupal, WordPress)
